The plugin we use is called Pyrofishing. This mod expands on the basics of fishing in Minecraft. This mod allows you to catch different levels of fish from bronze up to mythical using specially augmented fishing rods. This guide will take you through the basics and give you everything you need to know to get going.
To start with, I want to address some different terms you may come across to clear up and confusion.
- AUGMENTS – Augments are additions to your fishing rod. These allow you to gain multiple benefits while fishing.
- BAIT STORE – Temporarily unavailable. Awaiting a future update.
- DELIVERIES – These are found in the fish menu and allow you to turn in fish you have with you in for rewards. The higher the tier of delivery, the higher the reward. Once you turn one in, you must wait a certain amount of time before you can collect your reward.
- ENTROPY – Think of this as the currency of the fishing mod. Everything you buy within the mod will cost some amount of this. To obtain entropy you can catch fish, gut them, participate in tournaments or turn in deliveries.
- FISH PARTS – Some aquatic mobs will drop parts used in crafting augments. These are squid, dolphins and crabs. Crabs are a new fish you can spawn while fishing.
- FISH SCALES – This menu allows you to weigh your fish. This is a gamble that allows you to either sell your fish for more if they weigh a good bit or less if they weight small.
- FISH SHOP – This menu allows you to sell fish for server currency which can be used for teleports, lottery draws, diamond exchanges and much more
- GUTTING STATION – This menu allows you to gut fish you have caught for bonus Entropy
- LURES – These are currently only available through higher level deliveries. When used you will have a %250 increased chance to catch the rank of fish that the lure was. Example, Mythic lure increases Mythic fish chance
- SKILLS – Pyrofishing allows you to level up a fishing level. With this level you have access to more areas of the mod. One thing you unlock is skills. Every fishing level you earn 1 skill point. Some skills have multiple ranks available and cost 1 point per level, others cost 15 points but only level once.
- TOTEM – a totem pole you build later in the skill that gives you abilities within its range that enhance your fishing.
To access this menu you can either type /Fish Menu or hold shift with a fishing rod and right click. In this menu you can access all other areas of the mod from the fishing store to augments and more. At the top of the menu you can see your fishing rod your using and a general stats page which can show things like your current entropy, level and so forth.
To use this menu, simply add all the fish you want to sell and exit the page. Once you do you should receive a message with how much you sold the fish for.

In the Fish shop there is a rotating special fish that sells for a bonus amount. You can check this at the bottom of the menu.
Deliveries are a way to get bonus Fish parts, Entropy and Lures. After 180 catches you will receive a delivery request. These are found under deliveries in the fish menu. Read what fish are needed, catch them, make sure they are in your inventory and click on the delivery request. Once you do that a timer will start until you can collect your reward. There are multiple ways to improve your deliveries and that is by the upgrade options at the bottom.
Upgrades
- Increase Capacity – Increase the amount of Deliveries you can have at one time
- OverClocked – Decrease the time needed to deliver the materials.
- Expert Deliverer – Reduces the amount of fish required to turn in a delivery
- Pay Rise – Increase Entropy earned from deliveries
- Lucky charm – Reduce amount fish needed to obtain a new delivery
Note the cost of these goes up every time you buy an upgrade.
This menu has lists of all of the types of fish that can be caught. This also includes information such as how many fish have been caught of each type across the server, what biome they need to be caught in and so on.
Scales are a gamble system that allows you a chance to increase your fish sell price. Place your fish in the menu, select the level of risk at the right, then select the anvil to weight them. The higher the risk, the higher the reward.
This is a bag similar to your ender chest, however it only stores fish. It's your own personal bag and no one else has access.
Drag fish into this menu and select "Gut for Entropy" at the bottom to turn your fish into bonus entropy.
Entropy Gained
- Bronze - 40
- Silver - 120
- Gold - 200
- Diamond - 500
- Platinum - 1000
Every Fishing level rewards you with 1 skill point. These points can be allotted to different skills in this menu.
- Better Gutting - This skill gives you better entropy for gutting fish.
- Luck of the Catch - Gives you more entropy for catching fish.
- Master Augmenter - Reduces the cost of making augments.
- Totem Leader - Reduces totem cooldown time when catching fish.
- Divine Judgement - Creates a tsunami which doubles all fish caught in the tsunami. This creates a circle and lasts for ~3-4 catches before disappearing. This stacks with Hot Spot and Call of the Storm Augments.
- Tribal Shout - This Skill gives other players some benefits from your fishing totem while inside its range.
- Combo Catcher - This skill starts a combo counter for every fish you catch in a row. This combo has a maximum depending on your fishing level. As long as you keep catching fish within a 30-second window, your counter will stay up. The higher the counter, the higher chance you have of catching rarer fish.
- Augment Infusion - This gives you a chance to refund a certain amount of material when making an augment.
Currently Unavailable
Augments are the core of fishing skill. They allow you to add various powers to your fishing rod. It is highly recommended to have a fishing rod with the normal enchantments first including mending.
¶ Crafting and equipping an Augment
- In the fishing menu select augments, select the book at the top that reads Augment Help and look through the list. Make sure you have the proper level and entropy.
- Then gather all of the items listed on the augment you want.
- Once you have all of the items you will need a cauldron full of water. Throw all the required items in (you can throw over the amount in, they will be returned).
- Now left click on the cauldron with your fishing rod. The augment will be created.
- Make sure to pick it up inside the cauldron (it just drops, a future update will have it go straight into your inventory).
- Now back on the main augment menu, there is a place to put your fishing rod, augment, then a green tinted glass button for confirm. If you don’t see where to put the rod, just Shift click your rod while in the menu then shift click the augment in that order.

Totems are something you build and can gain extra benefits within the range. In the fishing menu if you click on totems you will see a totem outline. Build it just like that. Once built you can add effects to help you with fishing. Adding passive slots for abilities cost fish, either 7 platinum or 1 mythical fish. Once you open up the slots you can start adding passives.
